Regarding Haircuts

Many Western haircuts trim an undercut by cutting it all as one homogeneous height. This is largely ugly for Eastern hair, which will grow cowlicks and look ugly as it gets longer, in addition to looking strange when short.

The optimal method is to cut a semi-triangular shape tapered from the sides up.

Different barbers cut in different cultural ways. Chinese, Korean, and Japanese haircuts/styles/barbers all have their own opinion of what looks good. There are also regional differences in China.

Opinions on long hair

I largely believe the long hair boy-band makeup style is unnecessary. It mostly is a moral attack to prevent men from investing in power and commodities. Moreover, longer hair is bad in a fight and you might get it caught in an elevator door or lathe.

As people get old, they also tend toward shorter hair because hair becomes thinner, and it looks bad when too long.
